Chapter 3: Me Vs Black Ops II Round 1- Reveal Trailer
Hello Call of Duty fans (I presume your COD fans, or just Halo fans waiting for something to point and laugh at. Don't worry, this won't disappoint). Today, I will be going in-depth(ish) towards the reveal trailer of Black Ops II. If you haven't seen it, you can watch it here. Watched it? good. Lets get this thing started.
When the trailer starts, we get this screen. The trailer revolves around an interview with the presumed dead Sgt. Frank Woods, who many thought die in Black Ops I when him and Rezonov fell out of the window with a belt of live grenades around Rezonov's chest. They even state that in the trailer when Woods says, "aside the fact that I'm still alive, none of this surprises me". The next thing we notice is the the date, which is June 19, 2025. So the game will clearly take place in the future.

So this what Woods looks like now, clearly the sands of time when not nice to him. But then again, they usually aren't to many people, especially soldiers.

This is the first new vehicle we see in the trailer. With the future comes new toys and this one looks pretty awesome.I'm not sure if you even get to be in this vehicle or if it's just a civilian plane. Further in the trailer we see what looks like the player getting to control a plane. Whether or not it's this plane is yet to be known. Since the player got to control a helicopter in the original Black Ops, I don't see why not.

The next thing I noticed is this trailer is this vehicle. This vehicle reappears several times in the trailer and judging by the fact that it's so small and reappears so frequently, I'm putting my money on the fact that this vehicle will be a killstreak in the game (if they bring back killstreaks, which has not been confirmed yet).

The future has a lot of swag in it. Including this thing. I doubt you'll actually use this and will only be a cutscene thing. But it still looks neat.

New tank-like vehicle is next. They call this "The Claw". Looks pretty badass. The strange thing though is the fact that it doesn't have wheels, it walks on the four "legs" it has. Not sure if it even has inside the vehicle. As woods says in the trailer, "We have entire unmanned armies". But what we see later is "what happens when someone steals the keys".

Call of Duty is starting to form a trend of making current time battles in popular, big city locations today. Modern Warfare 3 had a huge battle in New York and now Black Ops II will have battles inside Los Angeles. Still have no idea who will the player will be fighting in the game but we do know is that we might be fighting the armies we created to protect us since the enemy "stole the keys".

One of the new weapons we are shown. From what I can guess it seems to be a standard sidearm pistol. It has kinda strange reload so it might be a semi-auto pistol but that's yet to be shown.

The first character we are shown. Judging by his looks and since we see him multiple times through the trailer, he will be a main character. This main character is holding what I believe to be a automatic gun of some kind and on his gun is another automatic with a scope. What these guns really are also yet to be known.

| Call of Duty: Black Ops II- Cowboys of the Future? |
This is what throws me off. What up with the horses? We have so much technology yet we still ride horses? IDK honestly. Rumor is that the game will have a time travel mission that apparently brings us back to the western era. Do we have battles at high noon? Will our only weapon be a Magnum? Where is my cowboy hat? I guess we'll have to wait for further information to be released to find out the truth about this scene.

As mentioned earlier, we are shown that we get to "pilot" a plane of some sorts. If we get to pilot it or if it's a MW3 thing where we thought we were gonna pilot a blackbird but only got to sit in the seat is still unknown but I have confidence that we get a lot of real piloting in this game.

Another weapon we are shown is this. It's clearly a LMG of some sort. Hopefully, the actual names of these guns will be revealed so I can stop calling them "this and that weapon". We also see the armor your friends or enemies will be wearing. Not sure what side these people are on.

And finally, we are shown the character again holding the weapon that was on his back. Still not sure what it is. Kinda looks like a sniper. Once again, we'll have to wait to find out for sure.
That's all I wanted to point out. The game looks promising to say the least. Time traveling cowboys sounds...interesting as well. I wonder what the multiplayer will be like. More waiting I guess.
